LISA WYSOCKY
Lisa Wysocky is an award-winning author, editor, equine clinician, and motivational speaker who also trains horses for and consults with therapeutic riding programs. Born in Minneapolis and raised on Lake Minnetonka, Lisa studied to be a horse trainer at the University of Minnesota. Many wins on the national horse show circuit took Lisa across North America, where she was asked to speak, or to write articles for national publications. Lisa's passion for writing and speaking led to a second run at college where she studied journalism.
An injury cut short Lisa's career as a competitive horse trainer, but she took her unique skills and ventured into music. And, six years as a correspondent for Nashville's afternoon paper, the Nashville Banner, piloted Lisa to a career as an entertainment publicist. Lisa has also headed several independent record labels, written a weekly syndicated celebrity lifestyles column, and was a regular featured guest on Jones Radio Networks syndicated overnight show, Danny Wright All Night.
Today, Lisa is a registered level PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) instructor and holds a certification as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning. In addition, she has been chosen as one of the country's Top 50 riding instructors by ARIA (American Riding Instructor's Association), and is a regular substitute co-host of the world’s most popular online horse radio program, Horses in the Morning, on the Horse Radio Network (HRN). In addition, also on HRN, Lisa is the Season 2 and 3 host of the award-winning podcast, The Horse Nutrition Podcast, presented by Purina. New in 2023, Lisa is the host of Celebs with Horses, an exciting new podcast that delves into the horsey lives of celebrities.
Lisa is a dynamic speaker and, through life skills learned from the horse herd, gives audiences a path to create their own personal success. Lisa also serves as executive director of the nonprofit organization Colby’s Army, and in her fifteen minutes of spare time each year, enjoys hiking, gardening, water sports, playing Scrabble, Minnesota Twins baseball . . . and reading.
